Your feet deserve some love…

At Sussex Foot Centre, we pride ourselves in having our own manufacturing facilities on-site. We’re able to diagnose and treat in quick succession. As we have discussed before, an initial consultation will usually require some form of imaging, usually in the form of ultrasound. Once we have a diagnosis and consider an orthotic is the right way to go, the orthotic is tailored to:
  • The individual’s pathology/ meaning problem/ injury.
  • The shape of the foot, which usually contributes to why the pain is there in the first place.
  • The job the patient does, what kind of shoes are to be worn with the orthotic.
Once this is considered the orthotic is fitted. The orthotics in the images below were issued for plantar fasciitis, although I’m not sure we can call them orthotics anymore! The patient has been wearing them none stop since 2017 until the dog decided to nibble them at the edges. Today we manufactured a permanent pair, or what’s also called a custom foot orthotic, once a that will last approximately 3-5 years, dependant on use and wear, but they will keep her going and pain-free. Is it time to replace your orthotic? If you have any questions or would like to book an appointment, get in touch with us on 01444 453874 or on our contact page!
